The Abbey Group’s textile manufacturing facility has been involved in the Defence industry for the last 4 years. We are working on some of the most technical textile manufacturing systems in this sector.
Our second facility has now been opened by local MP’s and Ministers to support other sectors from our usual Defence industry work.
We have provided the highest quality products to the MOD and some of the largest blue-chip companies in the world. Now our expertise is there for other sectors and companies to benefit from through our highly skilled work force and high level equipment.
Adler Long Arm
Excellence and versatility has been at the fore front of our vision for this facility which is why we have installed 15 Long Arm Durkopp Adler Sewing Machines. These powerful single needle longarm machines are designed to only deliver the best.
This range of machines is particularly suitable for medium- heavy duty sewing that can cope with a variety of fabric thicknesses as well as extreme threads. Combined with experienced staff we deliver excellent performance on the simplest and most technical challenges.
Abbey Group’s Quality Management System is certified to ISO 9001 (Alcumus Isoqar Certificate No 13620-QMS-001) and our welding operations are certified to BS EN 1090 Execution Class 3 (Alcumus Isoqar Certificate No 0513-13620-CPR-001/01).
This provides a tried and tested framework for taking a systematic approach so that we consistently turn out products that satisfy customers’ expectations.
