Projects: Commercial fit-out project for ALS Global.
The scope included a full interior strip-out followed by the creation of multiple new rooms to meet the evolving needs of this global company. Outgrowing its existing office space, the company required a modern, flexible environment to accommodate its expanding workforce.
The installation of laboratory work areas meant that services such as ventilation, air conditioning and fire safety were crucial to the build. The result is a high-quality, modern workspace that fosters innovation and employee well-being, leading to another satisfied customer and more repeat business.
Projects: White House Hotel
The Abbey Group successfully completed the £500k refurbishment of The White House Hotel in Blackpool.
This project involved a complete strip-out and a high-end fit-out, delivered on time and within budget. The result is a beautifully renovated hotel, ready to offer a luxurious experience to its guests.
Fire strategies were of the utmost importance and acoustics of great consideration due to both neighbours within and next to the building. Internal finishes had to be aesthetically pleasing whilst also being robust. The mechanical and electrical systems had to be designed and installed to adequately service a large number of guests.
The hotel is on a very busy road, which needed military precision planning to programme in deliveries, waste removals, road cleans and parking.
Projects: Fire Side Close
The Abbey Group were awarded this contract for the development of a 40-unit new build residential estate consisting of 23 apartments, 16 semi-detached houses and a bungalow.
The project involved the demolition of the old Parr Fire Station in St.Helens. The construction is based around a timber frame with a brick, render and glazed external facade. Externals involved all new roads and sewers and an extensive landscaping package.
Strong site management was needed to ensure all contractors were programmed in efficiently whilst ensuring waste removal, deliveries, noise and road closures didn’t impact on the local community.
Projects: Eco Lodges
The Abbey Group were awarded the contract for a 10-unit Eco Lodge scheme in Ruthin, North Wales.
On an old camping site at the back of a historic old ale house, we built 10 timber stud frame lodges with cedar cladding, designed to make the most of the stunning surrounding countryside.
Insulation and acoustic levels were key and the lodges are self sufficient as the roof solar panels power both the lodges and car charge points.
Insect hotels and hedgehog houses add to the eco ethos. The internal high-end finishes, hot tubs and landscaping exude luxury. Cleanliness and noise mitigation was of the utmost importance due to working in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Health & Safety was paramount (as always) due to all access being a live environment via the pub car park.
